Character Summary: In 1979, Victor Newman came to Genoa City and Katherine Chancellor made him head of Chancellor Enterprises. Victor's wife Julia felt lonely during this time and turned to Brock for friendship. In 1980, Victor turned to Lorie Brooks and had a vasectomy without telling Julia. In 1981, Julia became pregnant and Victor locked her boyfriend Michael Scott in the basement of their house. Julia lost the baby after falling down the stairs and the child turned out to be Victor's after all. Julia then left town with Michael. Leslie sold her stock in Prentiss Industries to Victor. Victor fell for Nikki Reed after seeing her as a stripper. The two had an affair, but Nikki married Kevin Bancroft. Nikki gave birth to Victor's child Victoria in 1983. Nikki and Victor were married in a huge ceremony in 1984. In 1985, Victor took in an emotionally distraught Ashley Abbott and in 1986 Ashley became pregnant with Victor's child. After Victor reconciled with Nikki, Ashley aborted the baby and had a mental breakdown. In 1987 Victor learned Nikki had conspired with Jack to get his Mergeron stock shares and vowed to divorce her, but did not go through with it. In 1988, Nikki gave birth to Victor's son Nicholas. Victor did divorce Nikki in 1988 after he suspected she was behind a tell all book written by Leanna Love, but the divorce was not legal. In 1990, Victor married Ashley, but separated in 1991 when Victor decided to help Nikki get clean from painkillers. In 1991, Victoria returned from boarding school as a teenager. In 1993, Jack blamed Victor for Nikki's miscarriage and Victor ended up in Kansas with a blind woman named Hope and everyone in Genoa City thought he was dead. In 1994, Hope got pregnant with Victor's child. In 1994, Victor's son Nick returned to town from boarding school a teenager. In 1996, Victor was shot by Mari Jo Mason in his office. In 1997, Victor married Diane Jenkins. In 1998, Nikki and Victor remarried. In 1999, Victor was presumed dead after a plane crash but returned to town. Victor gave control of Jabot back to the Abbott's along with a promisary note. Ashley got pregnant with Victor's sperm in 2000, but he does not know the child is his. Victor and Nikki remarried in 2002. In 2003, Victor and Newman Enterprises launched a cosmetics line to compete with Jabot, but Michael and Victor bribed stores to get a leg up on Jabot. Victor learned that his father, Albert, is alive, but dying. Victor's son Nick vowed to bring his father down for his dirty dealings.

Character Summary: Nikki Reed came to town with her sister Dr. Casey Reed. Nikki was a wild teen. Her father Nick tried to rape her and she ended up killing him. Nikki had affairs with Dr. Scott Adams and then Paul Williams. Paul gave Nikki gonorrhea. Nikki then fell for Greg Foster and the two were married in 1979. Nikki took a job that she thought was modeling, but it turned out to be prostitution. Her first john had a heart attack and a street kid was charged with murder with Nikki's husband Greg as his lawyer. In 1980, Paul and Nikki got mixed up in a cult, but were rescued. In 1981, Greg divorced Nikki and she started stripping at The Bayou. Victor Newman caught Nikki's show in 1981. In 1982, Nikki fell in love with Victor and got pregnant with his child, but married Kevin Bancroft instead. In 1983, Nikki gave birth to a girl, Victoria. Kevin and Nikki divorced. In 1984, Victor learned he was the Victoria's father and he and Nikki were married. In 1985, Nikki had an affair with Jack after Victor took Ashley under his wing. In 1986, Nikki learned she was dying which brought her closer to Victor again. In 1987, Nikki went into remission, but discovered Victor comforting Ashley and decided to work with Jack against Victor. In 1988, Nikki gave birth to Victor's son Nicholas. Victor divorced Nikki when he thought she was responsible for Leanna Love's tell all book, but the divorce was not legal. In 1990, Nikki married Jack Abbott. Nikki suffered a miscarriage after turning to alcohol to cope with her bad marriage. In 1991, Victoria returned from boarding school and Victor promised to help Nikki get off the painkillers and alcohol. In 1992, Nikki got pregnant with Jack's child, but in 1993 she suffered a miscarriage after an argument with Victor. Nikki thought Victor was dead and had an affair with Cole Howard. Nikki and Victor's son Nick returned to town in 1994. In 1995, Nikki had an affair with Brad Carlton. In 1996, Nikki married Dr. Josh Landers. In 1998, Josh's former wife showed up and shot him dead and also shot Nikki. Nikki then remarried Victor. In 1999, Victor was presumed dead in a plane crash, but returned to town. Nikki had another affair with Brad. In 2000, Nikki and Victor reunited, but when he learned she invested 35 million in Jabot they broke up. In 2002, Nikki married Victor again. In 2003, Nikki learned that Victor is the father of Ashley's baby daughter Abby and started a war of words with Nick's wife Sharon.

Character Summary: Victoria Newman was born in 1983 and like most soap opera kids, was sent away to boarding school. In 1991, Victoria returned to town as a teenager and started seeing Ryan McNeil. Ryan and Victoria were married in 1992. In 1993, Victoria's marriage to Ryan broke up and she started to see Cole Howard. Cole's mother claimed that he was Victor's son and Victoria and Cole's marriage was annulled in 1994. Victoria went to work at Jabot. In 1996, Victoria was attracted to Ryan again. In 1998, Victoria and Cole were divorced and Victoria gave birth prematurely to a daughter named Eve who later died. In 2000, Ryan and Victoria reunited. In 2001, Tricia kidnapped Victoria on her wedding day and then shot Ryan and he later died. In 2002, Victoria briefly got involved with Diego, but he left town. In 2003, Victoria is working at Newman with Nick and is attracted to Michael Baldwin and Damon Porter.

Character Summary - Nicholas Newman was born in 1988 and like most soap opera kids was sent away to boarding school. Nick returned in 1994 and promptly hooked up with Sharon Collins. In 1995, Nick proposed to Sharon who was later raped by Matt Clark. Matt was shot and Nick was arrested. Nick and Sharon then eloped. In 1996, it was revealed that Sharon's friend Amy had shot Matt after he raped her and Nick was cleared. Nick went to work for Newman Enterprises. Sharon became pregnant and her old friend Grace Turner turned up in town. In 1997, Sharon gave birth to a baby boy named Noah. While he was drunk, Nick had sex with Grace. In 1998, Nick met Sharon's daughter she had given up for adoption, Cassie, who came to live with them. In 1999, Nick and Sharon bought the Crimson Lights Coffeehouse. In 2001, Matt Clark tried to rape Sharon again, but failed. Later, after a car wreck, Matt pulled out his own breathing tube and pinned the "murder" on Nick. Matt also told Nick that he had raped Sharon. Sharon was pregnant and Nick thought that the child might be Matt's. Sharon later miscarried and the child was proven to be Nick's not Matt's. In 2002, Sharon had a one night stand with Diego and then Nick slept with Grace again. Sharon decided to file for divorce. In 2003, Sharon left Nick, but returned home and they decided to rebuild their marriage. Nick started to investigate his father's business dealings in regards to Safra.

Nick slept with Grace Turner and Sharon found out. In 1999, Sharon and Nick bought the coffeehouse. In 2001, Sharon was almost raped again by Matt Clark, but he died after a car wreck. Sharon was pregnant and wondered if it could be Matt's child when he claimed he raped her before she died. After an argument with Nick, she tripped and fell and lost the baby that turned out to be Nick's after all. In 2002, Sharon had a one night stand with Diego while Nick slept with Grace again. Sharon decided to file for divorce. Sharon and Victor shared a one time kiss with her father in law Victor which Nick saw. In 2003, Sharon left town for a few months, but returned and decided to rebuild her marriage to Nick. Sharon then embarked on a war of words with her mother in law Nikki.
