fans! Search For Tomorrow debuted in 1951 on CBS and featured the life and stories of Jo Tourneur. In 1982, the show moved to NBC. The show centered it's stories on the life of Jo, played for the entire 35 years by the late Mary Stuart. Search was created by Roy Winsor who was the force behind many of CBS's first soaps. The show was set in the fictional town of Henderson. The show finished it's 35 year run in 1986. The last scene had original cast members Mary Stuart (Jo) and Larry Haines (Stu) sitting in the evening on the front porch with Jo looking at the stars and Stu asked what she was looking for and Jo replied that she was searching for tomorrow.
