Week Ending September 5

Stefano returned to reclaim his mansion and was arrested by Bo. John was summoned to the police station to answer questions about the Paul Hollingsworth case. Hope arrested Paul. Max was still interested in getting to know his sister. Nicole told John what Trent's weakness is. Daniel told Chelsea he wanted to move forward with her. Morgan confronted John. Bo told John Paul to turn himself in. Roman told John that Stefano would not be charged with any crime. Victor paid Stefano a visit. Chelsea decided to move on from Daniel. Abe and Lexie spent time with Theo at the playground. Trent asked Marlena out, which prompted her to ask John for a divorce. Victor teamed up with Stefano. Stefano had a family meeting with EJ and Tony. Morgan reunited with Paul. Lucas asked Chloe to join him at the Horton cabin. Kate insulted Lucas' choice in women. Mickey told Lucas that he and Sami are being granted joint custody of Allie. Daniel admitted to Hope that he still loves Chelsea. Sami was furious over the verdict in Allie's custody case.

Week Ending September 12

Kate and Lexie told Tony to walk away from Stefano. John was surprised to learn that Marlena was considering going on a date with Trent. Philip told Morgan he wanted to bury the past and start over. Bo and Hope had a romantic picnic in the park. Sami was arrested. Steve asked Hope for Trent's background information. Nick got into a fight with a thug. Nicole eavesdropped on Bo and Hope's talk about Trent. Nick was in danger and got shot trying to help Melanie. Chelsea surprised Max and Stephanie by showing up in France. Trent admitted to Melanie that he had been gambling and was strapped for cash. Lucas took Allie and Chloe to the Horton cabin. Paramedics treated Nick. Melanie came clean with Max. Daniel tried to use Phillip to get to Kate. E.J. figured out that Sami was headed for the Horton cabin and rushed after her. Kate heard Philip admit his feelings for Morgan. Chelsea found out that Nick was interested in Melanie. Melanie confronted Trent. Max talked about getting revenge against Trent. Chelsea witnessed Nick and Melanie kissing. Trent threatened to tell Victor everything unless Nicole gave him the money he needs. Philip tried to get Morgan to reconcile over a romantic weekend. Kate admitted to sleeping with Daniel. Victor found out Kate was involved with Daniel. John tried to stop Marlena from dating Trent. Trent asked Marlena to have a drink with him. Nicole pushed John's buttons. Tony and Anna heard Stefano propose to Kate. Bo Hope and Abe were frustrated by having to let Stefano walk. Bo and Hope got closer to Nicole's connection to Trent.

Week Ending September 19

EJ confronted Nicole about what she did to Sami. Nicole and Phillip commiserated at the pub. Chloe wondered if Lucas still loves Sami. Lucas told Chloe he would always care for Sami because of their kids. Sami defended her actions to Roman. Marlena told Sami to grow up. Hope was stunned by Marlena's confession. Anna tried to talk sense to Stefano. Lexie explained to her mother why Theo was in a specialized school. Philip offered Lucas a job. Stefano threw a cocktail party at the mansion. EJ told Sami she is self destructive. Stefano announced that Marlena was the guest of honor at his party. Abe reassured Lexie. Lexie wondered if they're doing enough for Theo. Lexie was called before the board. Matt Borlenghi (ex Brian Bodine AMC, ex Ziggy Marsh B&B) joined the show as the mayor of Salem. Daniel supported Lexie to the board. Phillip took Kate to the hospital. The mayor wanted a police scapegoat after the lockdown. Abe was determined to bring down Stefano. An ailing Kate went to the hospital. Daniel was shocked by Kate's x-ray. Lexie pleaded with the board. Abe told Lexie he resigned. Nicole explained how she married Trent to Bo and Hope. Phillip summoned Lucas to the hospital. Melanie threatened Trent. Trent insulted Max at the pub and the two started fighting.

Week Ending September 26

Lexie visited her father. Max tried to support Melanie. Caroline invited a forlorn Melanie to live at the pub. Melanie confronted Trent at the pub. Lexie cut all ties with Stefano. Caroline asked Trent to leave the pub. Nick reassured Melanie. Nicole worried about what Bo and Hope knew. Max and Trent fought in Trent's hotel room. Abe wanted Roman to take over his job as police commissioner. Marlena told Anna about John's strange behavior. Bo claimed he was not interested in Abe's job. Hope was announced as police commissioner. Stefano told John they need to work out their issues. Marlena and Anna talked about John and Tony. Chelsea confided in Stephanie and admitted she still has feelings for Nick. John had a seizure while with Anna. Hope was unsure about accepting the mayor's offer. Bo and Roman urged Hope to accept. Kayla ordered tests on John. Marlena thought John's problems were caused by Stefano's actions. Chelsea confronted Daniel. Daniel wanted Chelsea to move on, but she could not. Victor demanded that Nicole return his settlement. Trent shut out his children. Claude threatened Trent and told him to pay back his debt. Melanie refused to help Trent. Chelsea told Nick about Kate and Daniel. Bo and Roman were worried that a DiMera associate would get Abe's job. Caroline arrived at the station worried about Max. Kate tried to make amends with Chelsea, but Chelsea would hear nothing of it. Bo put his name in as a candidate for police commissioner. Kate tried to make up with Chelsea. Daniel gave Kate a serious diagnosis - lung cancer. Caroline was watched. Nicole told EJ that she had come clean about her marriage to Trent. John and Stefano talked about the DiMera empire.
