E.J. and Sami disagreed about whether to tell Rafe of the latest ransom note. Rafe confided in Arianna. Carly was desperate for news of Melanie's health. Melanie awakened in the hospital. Daniel blasted Carly. Anna feared that EJ's obsession would ruin his plans. Maggie worried that her condition had returned. Arianna comforted Melanie. EJ’s rage was frightening Anna. Roman worried that Sami was in denial over losing two babies in one year. E.J. called Sami with news about Sydney. Rafe confided in Roman. Arianna was upset that Brady wanted to tell Nicole of Sydney's death. Mia overheard Chad asking Gabi out. Gabi told Will she was suspicious of Mia's feelings for him. Gabi offered her condolences to Will. Sami and EJ saw a video of Sydney and got a ransom demand. EJ spied on Sami with Rafe. Stephanie confirmed her decision not to tell Nathan about Melanie's letter. Rafe questioned Sami about what she was watching on the computer. Philip told Chloe that Daniel may face charges with the hospital board. Daniel started to tell Melanie the truth. Stephanie was surprised to see Philip. Via Sami's laptop, EJ spied on Sami and Rafe to make sure Sami lied about the ransom demand. Nathan and Stephanie returned from their ski trip. Carly inadvertently told Chloe that Daniel is Melanie's father. Sami and EJ grew closer. Brady had a suprise for Arianna. Daniel confronted Vivian and issued her a warning. Nathan was shocked to learn that Melanie had been shot. Stephanie discovered that Melanie was in the hospital. Bo planned to question Melanie about the shooting. Carly wanted to plead guilty. Bo questioned Melanie regarding the shooting. Philip insisted that Victor throw Vivian out. Carly tried to apologize to Daniel. Stephanie interrupted Melanie and Nathan. Anna lashed out at EJ for what he was doing to Sami. Rafe continued to worry about Sami. Daniel told Melanie that he is her father. Philip urged Hope to fight for Bo. Justin offered his support to Hope. EJ arrived at Sami's with a surprise. Carly begged Daniel not to shut her out. Bo tried to talk some sense into Melanie. Justin offered Carly his legal service.
