Week Ending October 5

Thinking his mother schemed with Stefano to ruin his marriage, Lucas blasted her for once again ruining his life. He declared he's no longer her son and is changing his last name to Horton. Sami and E.J. were stunned when Andre arrives with Roman. Sami was horrified to discover her father was strapped to a time bomb. Steve vowed Stefano was going to pay for Benjy's murder. Steve took Stefano hostage at gunpoint, headed over to a television station and hijacked a live news broadcast. Steve sent a message to Andre: Return Roman Brady alive, or he'll execute Stefano on live TV. Andre defused the bomb and spared Roman's life. Andre took Hope hostage. Sami confessed her complicated feelings for EJ. Lucas arrived at the pub in time to find Sami cradling E.J. in her arms. Andre raced onto the news station rooftop with Hope as his hostage. After a tense standoff, Bo fired a shot at Andre, who fell off the roof. Bo saved Hope, but their relief was short-lived when they find out Andre had survived the fall.

Week Ending October 12

Sami vowed to make EJ's life miserable and kicked him out. Lauren died after she fell down the stairs, but gave one last clue about the baby. Sami informed EJ that they would not share a bed while married. Phillip found out that Tyler is alive. EJ set his sights on Belle. Sami tried to get Lucas to give her a divorce. Kate found out that Pocket was poisoned. Chelsea asked the frat guys to participate in a "date auction". Pocket was rushed to the hospital. Stefano claimed that he had gotten an official church annulment for Sami and Lucas. Child services informed Steve and Kayla that Pocket must be removed from their home. Stephano announced he was dropping the charges against Steve. Lucas got Sami to wait 24 hours before dissolving their marriage. Stephanie warned Max that Morgan would hurt him. Cordy bid on a hot frat guy and won. Phillip arrived. Sami had second thoughts about agreeing to the terms to end the feud. Belle talked to Mrs. Meyer's on Phillip's behalf. EJ hinted that the DiMera's might target Will. Phillip showed a display of affection towards Belle. Pocket's true identity was revealed and Phillip threatened Kayla and Steve. Sami announced that she would sign the annulment papers. Grandpa Shawn told Stefano that Santo's deception led to Colleen's suicide. Max was auctioned off. Grandpa Shawn pulled the plug on Andre's life support. Andre made a surprising last stand. John and Marlena retrieved Belle's car keys. Andre turned off his respirator. Stefano wanted Grandpa Shawn charged with murder. EJ and Sami argued. John was hit by a hit and run driver and critically injured.

Week Ending October 19

Marlena and Belle took care of an unconscious John. Lucas tried to convince Sami that John's accident was a coincidence. Stefano asked Tony to run the DiMera empire, but Tony laughed in his face. Chelsea and Stephanie found chaos at the sorority house and Stephanie got jealous. Lucas tried to convince Sami that the DiMera's had nothing to do with John's accident. John regained consciousness. Shawn showed up to comfort Belle. Lucas pleaded with Sami. E.J. took the annulment papers to Stefano. Stephanie spied on Max's date with Morgan. Chelsea arrived to find Stephanie stalking Max and Morgan. E.J. wondered if Stefano had something to do with John's accident. Bo found pieces of a broken headlight at the accident scene. Sami and Lucas fought about her plan to wed E.J.. John died from his injuries. Morgan offered to back off if Stephanie was interested in Max. Marlena wandered the pier alone, thinking about John. The residents of Salem had a very emotional day. Phillip found out that Pocket was not poisoned but he has a genetic condition. Lucas told Sami that he was ready to accept her decision to marry E.J.. Alone in her bedroom Marlena finally broke down. Stefano planned to return to Italy. Belle and Sami told Marlena they were moving in with her. Sami was convinced that marrying E.J. was necessary. Sami went into labor. The doctor explained Pocket's rare condition. Tony was not happy that Anna wanted him to be nicer to Stefano. Philip kissed Belle just as Shawn came in.

Week Ending October 26

Phillip insisted on taking Pocket home with him. Bo tried to talk Shawn out of becoming a police officer. Bo and Roman's relationship was strained. Marlena delivered Sami's twins. Phillip and Belle got intimate. Phillip and Shawn had an all out physical confrontation. Salem mourned John. The headlight of the car that hit John belonged to a former cell mate of Andre's. Sami and Lucas noticed that the twins did not look alike. Shawn told Hope that his enrollment in the police academy has been postponed. Marlena confronted EJ. Lucas had nightmares about how the twins would turn out. Belle fell apart with Hope. Abe got a lead. Bo realized that he needed to tell Sami that John's death was part of the vendetta. More distance came between Lucas and Kate. EJ urged Sami to fly to Santo Domingo to get a quickie divorce from Lucas.
