Week Ending December 5 Deacon learned he was paralyzed from the gunshot. Oscar saw Deacon and Bridget kissing. Eric was arrested for attempted murder. Stephanie tried to get Samantha to tell Ridge how she really feels. Sally snuck around waiting for the DNA test to be done. Week Ending December 12 Oscar proposed to Bridget and she accepted. Deacon later proposed to Bridget too, but before she could tell him about Oscar, he was taken to surgery. Sally tried to get into Brooke's paternity files. Ridge and Brooke talked about baby names. Week Ending December 19 Everyone learned that Nick is the father of Brooke's baby. Ridge was determined to raise the child as his own, but Nick didn't see it that way. Bridget told Deacon she plans to marry Oscar. Stephanie told Brooke that Ridge will have problems raising another man's child. Week Ending December 26 Bridget helped Deacon with his physical therapy. Eric offered Oscar a job and he accepted. Nick refused to give up his rights to Brooke's child. Massimo tried to convice Brooke to be with Nick for the sake of the child and the family.
