Week Ending August 3

Erica and Jack argued about Greenlee. Baby Ian had to have surgery to correct a defective heart valve. Greenlee had to face Kendall's wrath when she caught her in Spike's room. Zach waited as Ian was taken into surgery. Tad blamed Adam for driving his family away. Annie reached out to Zach. Adam vowed to get back everything he has lost. Kendall and Ryan were elated when Spike regained consciousness. Jack thought Greenlee should leave town. Ava was moved by Jonathan's appeal. Greenlee caused more heart break. Kendall, Ryan, and Zach were temporarily relieved when Spike and Ian started to recover. Adam intended to use Zach's crisis to his advantage. Greenlee refused to leave town. Kendall wished she could be in two places at one time. Zach tried to cheer up Kendall. Jonathan revealed his true feelings. Greenlee and Kendall took off the gloves. When Ava found out that Lily was investigating Sean's drug bust, she agreed to wear a wire to catch the dealer, but the guy decided to search her. Ava saved Fusion Green by creating a successful Webcast that attracted online buyers. Greenlee showed up at the Fusion offices to an icy reception.

Week Ending August 10

Kendall and Zach learned that Spike is deaf. It was not clear if Spike's hearing loss is permanent. Lenny threatened to kill Ava. Greenlee admitted the extent of her guilt. Annie appeared to have some knowledge about deafness and feared being hated as much as Greenlee if her secret got out. Zach informed Ryan that he planned to deal with Greenlee himself. Erica comforted Kendall. Lenny took Ava hostage. Annie changed the subject when Ryan questioned her about her childhood. JR was taken hostage trying to help Ava. Adam forced Greenlee to deal with the consequences of her actions. Babe and Amanda bonded over their concern for JR. Ava and JR turned the tables on Lenny and he was arrested. Lily and Ava shared their first hug. Greenlee was determined to undo the damage she had done to Spike. Erica told Jack it was either her or Greenlee. Kendall learned that Spike would need treatment in Texas. Greenlee went missing. Zach bonded with Ian. Greenlee tried to find peace by getting drunk. Aidan stoppped Greenlee from leaving the Comeback with a drunken stranger. Jack refused to give in to Erica's demand that would force Greenlee out of town as Pam taped the argument. Erica remembered the anniversary of Mona's death. Aidan took Greenlee back to the scene of the crash. Tad and Krystal made the big move. Pretending to be Stuart, Adam held Jenny. While pretending to be Stuart, Adam heard Krystal say that he still gets to her.

Week Ending August 17

Kendall and Zach learned that Spike is permanently deaf. Josh caught Greenlee trying to check up on Spike. Bianca made a phone call to Kendall (Eden Riegel appeared). Josh told Greenlee about Spike's condition. Zach and Ryan blamed each other for Spike's hearing loss. Kendall was unable to forgive Greenlee. Annie told Di that she planned to leave town. Bianca realized that Kendall was spending all her time with Spike and not Ian. Annie broke down when Walter, her estranged father, (played by Bob Hiltermann) said he could not help her. Jonathan was attracted to Ava. Kendall lashed out at Greenlee. Greenlee had a doctor who specializes in alternative treatments call Kendall. Ryan asked Annie to teach him some basic sign language. Jack and Erica made their divorce official. Aiden reminded a drunk Greenlee that confession is good for the soul. Annie tried to hide her secret. Zach found out that Ian needs emergency brain surgery. Annie had an encounter with her estranged father, who became deaf as an adult, and later got a creepy phone call. Annie took off on a mysterious mission that led to her mother's grave and sadness. Erica lied that Jack was in favor of the network's new project putting a strain on their relationship. Ava started to change her opinion of Jonathan.

Week Ending August 24

Kendall hoped that Spike would regain his hearing. Annie worried when she found out that Emma had been picked up by a man at camp. Ryan interrupted Kendall's appointment with Dr. Hilliard and took Spike back to the hospital. Zach reached the breaking point and wondered if Kendall wanted to be a mother to Ian. Babe had trouble saying goodbye to Jamie. Zach worried over Ian's impending brain surgery. Zach was not happy that Kendall is not there for Ian's surgery, but later forgave her. Ryan convinced Kendall to let him take Spike home with him, but Annie worried for his safety because of her mysterious phone calls. Zach visited Ethan's grave and voiced concern about his family. Jamie bid goodbye to Babe. Annie hid her fears from Ryan Greenlee still wanted Dr. Hilliard to help Spike. JR found himself attracted to Ava. Ryan and Kendall argued about Spike. Greenlee was surprised by Annie's compassion. Jack talked to Krystal about his troubles. Kendall was convinced her way was the best way for Spike. Greenlee cheered up Aidan. Tad investigated Dr. Hilliard. Zach was worried about Kendall's mental state. Dr. Hilliard told Kendall that Spike must be her only focus and she had to do everything he said. Justin Bruening (Jamie) left the show when Jamie took a job helping AIDS patients in Africa.

Week Ending August 31

Annie suggested that she, Ryan, Kendall, Zach and Spike live together. Zach was upset when he found Kendall in a stranger's hospital room asking to hold her baby. Jack agreed to co-host Erica's new show after learning the network would raise money for deaf children. Ryan was frustrated by Kendall's continued denial of Spike's deafness. Greenlee found out more about Aidan's military past. Jonathan tried to explain Ava's behavior to Lily. Ryan kept trying to find out Annie's dark secret. Jack included a shocking clause in his TV contract that he and Erica would have intimate relations. Babe listened to Amanda vent about Ava. Zach bonded with Ian. Annie told Babe that something was bothering her but would not say what it is. Billy Miller joined the show as Wes (Annie's jailbird brother), a bartender at The Comeback, who took a liking to Babe. Annie had a terrible vision of Ryan's death. Kendall kept Spike's involvement with Dr. Hilliard a secret. Amanda confronted Ava about the kiss, but JR thought Ava could make big money. Julia returned to town to find Jamie gone. Annie snuck off to meet her father. Kendall secretly gave Spike the special vitamins from Dr. Hilliard. Annie told her father to make someone stop threatening her or she would take matters into her own hands again. Krystal threw Tad a birthday party that ended with an unexpected kiss. Aidan saved Greenlee.
